I have been really busy this January, partly because Harry is not sleeping in the day at all and Ollie is only having an hour and a half, and partly because I have started a few new projects. I have been using Oliver's precious little nap time to get all my jobs done, start preparing dinner and try and do something fun with Harry – he likes helping me in the kitchen but sometimes we do a craft activity or just play cars together (that is still the favourite). I have also been trying to get a few prjects done including finishing all the photo albums, sanding and painting a toolboy, perfecting bread making, learning to use my new sewing machine (I had a lesson today and have just finished my second cushion cover, very excited).
The reason I am writing a little post today (apart from the fact I have not posted at all this month!) is because I witnessed a very sweet moment between my boys and it reminded me of this post written a year and four months ago, when my boy were both babies.
After tea this evening when the boys were just sitting watching TV together, I quietly entered the room to see Ollie lean over, take his thumb out of his mouth and kiss Harry on the side of his head. My heart just burst, it was the sweetest thing and made me soo happy. It was a complete role reversal of the post mentioned above, like a little love pay back.
This is my current favourite picture of the boys, it was taken after Ollies naptime when they were both a bit sleepy and quite happy to snuggle up on the sofa together.
As always I have been using my camera most days so if you do feel like seeing what we are up to on a more regular basis (more regular than my blog) pop over to my flickr site which I update every few days. Unfortunately you can only leave comments if you have a flickr account, so I do miss the little ‘hello’s’ from my friends.Just off now to make some dinner, I am cooking through Jamie Oliver’s new book Jamie’s 30 minute meals. I can really recommend this book, the food has been amazing, Luke has loved it so much so that he has been asking me on the phone during the day what is on the menu tonight?
It's Rogan Josh tonight.
Until next time.
