I love Christmas and so today when I  found this amazing on-line Christmas magazine which is  full of great craft ideas, it made me very happy.

Pirates and Princesses

The last of Harry’s 3rd birthday celebrations came at the weekend, when Harry and five of his best friends had a joint pirate and princess themed birthday party held in the village hall. We have been planning this for a while now as with 55 children invited it was quite an undertaking!

Setting up the hall took a few hours, blowing up all the balloons for the balloon drop we had at the end of the party, a craft table where the children decorated pirate hats and princess crowns,  ride on toys, face painting, tattoos, lots of yummy party food and jelly.

The amazing cakes were made by Lisa at The Travelling Teashop.
Beware of the pirates!
The boys fantastic t-shirts were made by my lovely friend Celine at Applejuice.

A fantasic time was had by all, especially the birthday boys and girls!

I have really enjoyed Harry's birthday this year as it feels like it has been the first year that he has properly understood the event and been really excited about the build up to it. Although I am looking forward to many more birthdays to come I really want to wrap him up and preserve some or that 3 year old cuteness.

Family Photo's

When our friend Annelie who is a fantastic wedding photographer offered to take our family portraits we jumped at the chance (well I did, the boys took a bit of persuading). So a couple of weeks ago on a very sunny Saturday morning we meet up in Windsor Great park for the session.

I am really pleased with the pictures, maybe I should make it an annual event?

Halloween run down

This year Halloween was lots of fun, although I wasn’t too sure how it was going to work as Harry woke up telling us he wasn’t going to dress up!
After some pumpkin carving and watching this Halloween Charlie and Lola (and few reminders of all the sweets he would get) Harry decided he would dress up, but not have his picture taken?!
So we did have Sir Harry the Knight and Ollie the Little dragon.

We spent the evening at a friend’s Halloween tea party and took all the children that were there trick or treating together. Her poor neighbours got a bit of a surprise when a gang of 10 sugar crazed 3 year olds came knocking!

In the end it is all too much for one little dragon who had to take a rest.
