Things I love

My cute little man, Harry.
He is a sensitive little bear and demonstrated this tonight, when I was reading bedtime stories he asked me if he could sleep in my bed where Daddy goes (Luke is away with work at the mo). I said that he needed to sleep in his own bed next to Ollie, to which he replied ‘will you be ok mummy?’ patting his little hand on my arm and giving me a big bambi type look. He is too cute; I nearly gave in to those big baby blues but have tucked them up in their own room tonight.

The return of the roast dinner.
Now the weather is getting cooler I have got out the roasting trays and been cooking up massive dinners complete with Yorkshire pudding. There is nothing better on a Sunday than sitting down to a roast dinner with all my family.

Tights
I love wearing skirts but have the palest legs you have ever seen (really, they glow in the dark!!) Now I can wear all my skirts with thick tights and my biker boots or pretty ballet pumps, I am also loving plum coloured tights this year.

This hymn sang by the talented Mindy Gledhill.
I discovered it over at the wonderful Cjane. Have a look, it really is beautiful. I watched the video with Harry and Ollie and they both sat on my lap totally still watching it, at the end Harry said to me ‘I want a baby like that, please’.

Autumn leaves and long walks wearing wellingtons.
Every day I have been trying to take the boys outside to look at the changing leaves, collect acorns and best of all to kick and jump in all the dried leaves wearing wellingtons.

Preparing for Harry's birthday and Halloween.
I love all the party preparations, what kind of cake to make, whether to have a theme, decorations, buying surprise presents.... and next month I have Harrys 3rd birthday and then Halloween to prepare for.

Rue Magazine
This really cool new on-line magazine, it was introduced to me thanks to the very funny 3 stinky boys and me.

  1. I'm in the running for the Palest Legs Award, too, and I love that it is fashionably acceptable to wear tights in the winter. It's not quite cold enough here yet, but it will be soon. Hooray for autumn and falling leaves and cooking with pumpkins!

And that hymn is beautiful. I've loved it for many, many years, and Mindy's rendition is very nice. I like the folksy twist to it. I actually went to high school with Mindy -- not only is she a great singer, but she's a really nice person, too.
