This week has been a slow week for blogging but a busy week for me. Poor Ollie has had a tummy virus, so we have been to the doctors a couple of times (he is much better now), the washing machine broke, I started an early spring clean and the rest of the time I have been visiting DIY stores, looking on the internet and generally pondering over what colours to paint the walls as we start decorating next week.
In amongst all that we did managed to bake some yummy chocolate chip cookies, so thought I would share this easy recipe.
Helen’s chocolate chip cookies (named after my lovely friend, who gave me this recipe)
4oz Butter
7oz Caster sugar
1 egg
2 tsp Vanilla essence
8 ½ Plain Flour
½ tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
½ tsp Baking powder
8oz Chocolate chips
Beat butter and sugar, then add the egg and vanilla essence. Next mix in the dry ingredients. Shape into cookies, place on a non-stick baking sheet about 2inchs apart and bake at 190c for 8 to 10 minutes. They are yummy!
