Autumn Artwork

Today we decided to do some autumn crafting. We started with a walk to collect some autumnal materials to do our creating with, dried leaves, conkers, twigs... When we returned home we put all of our ‘treasure’ into a big tray and Harry inspected it.

We started with leave prints in red, orange and yellow paints; this was probably Harry’s favourite as he got really messy. I had already cut out some tree trunk shapes in brown paper which we glued onto white card and then made some little finger painted leaves at the end of the branches. I have a very sweet hole punch that is in the shape of a maple leave so together we punch out little leaf shapes from different coloured paper and glued them on to the end of the branches to.

It was lots of fun for us both and as we made some mini trees too, we used them as cards to send to family members.
